40+ years of walking alongside people

Access Living has been a trusted presence in Bellingham and Whatcom County since 1984.

We believe every person is whole. Our work isn't about fixing or managing — it's about partnering.

Access Living is a Washington State licensed supported living provider, delivering individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities. For 40+ years, we have walked alongside individuals so they can truly live the life they've imagined.

We are guided by each person's goals, their pace, and their vision for their own life. Every service we deliver is built around the individual — not a program, not a system, not a diagnosis.

Our team of trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide individualized support guided by each person's Individual Support Plan (ISP), honoring their goals, preferences, and rights.

"We partner with people to imagine the life they want to live, believe it is in reach, and become who they have imagined."

What we stand for

Respect

Every person deserves to be heard, valued, and treated with dignity — always, without exception. We honor each individual's voice, preferences, and self-determination in everything we do.

Whole People

We see and support every dimension of a person — their strengths, dreams, relationships, history, and full humanity. A disability is one part of a person; it does not define them.

Belonging

Everyone deserves a genuine place in their community. We build real connections, foster inclusion, and work to ensure every person we support is seen and valued by those around them.

Held to the highest standards

Access Living is fully licensed by DSHS and operates in compliance with all applicable Washington Administrative Codes governing supported living services.
